Meet the Team
As the co-founder of FEInn, Tony Donné, brings over four decades of experience in fusion research. Having steered EUROfusion as CEO for a decade, he has a deep understanding of the international fusion landscape and its developments.
Tony has a wide background in project and grant design and management, and he has assessed fusion research institutions globally as well as scientific grant proposals on a wide of topics.
He is a seasoned lecturer and has wide experience as chair of committees and meetings. He strives to combine excellence with efficient handling of request from FEInn customers.
As the co-founder of FEInn, Shweta Feher brings a wealth of experience in project & stakeholder management, specializing in EU proposal writing and grant management.
She is known for adept problem-solving, decision-making, and risk mitigation, ensuring seamless project execution. Proficient in budgeting and financial management, she maintains rigorous quality assurance and monitoring standards throughout the project lifecycle.
With an unwavering commitment to excellence, she is part of the team at FEInn in pioneering energy solutions that redefine industry standards.
Karl Tischler is a seasoned strategic communicator and marketer with over 20 years of experience in bridging complex technical fields with diverse audiences. At EUROfusion, Karl served as Head of the Communications department for four years, overseeing communications and public information efforts across EUROfusion and its member institutes.
His expertise encompasses strategic communications, project management, and international collaboration. Karl has led high-impact campaigns in the energy sector, particularly in fusion research, enhancing visibility and stakeholder engagement. He excels in translating complex, technical information into clear, compelling messages for a broad range of stakeholders.
At FEInn, Karl leverages his deep understanding of science communication, digital strategies, and cross-cultural networking to help clients achieve sustainable energy goals and navigate global challenges effectively.
Michel Claessens holds a PhD from Brussels’ University and brings decades of expertise in science communication and policy. He served as Deputy Head of the Communication Unit in the Research Directorate-General at the European Commission, where he played a pivotal role in shaping research communication strategies.
In 2011, Michel became Head of Communication and External Relations at the ITER Organization in France. Currently, he serves as an advisor to the ITER Director-General and the WISC (Science Culture) project. A prolific author, Michel has published 17 books—including ITER, The Giant Fusion Reactor (Springer, 2023)—14 research papers, and over 250 popular science articles.
At FEInn, Michel leverages his deep expertise in science policy and communication, his extensive international scientific network, and his experience as a sought-after speaker at global conferences to drive impactful engagement and outreach.
Volker Naulin is a distinguished physicist and professor at the Danish Technical University (DTU), where he led fusion energy research and education for 10 years. His pioneering work in computational plasma physics has advanced high-performance models for studying plasma turbulence. Volker also led the Taskforce Transport for the JET fusion experiment in the UK and contributed to fusion research at DTU, including collaborations with the Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research.
At EUROfusion, Volker served as Head of the Fusion Science Department for more than three years, driving significant advancements in the field before transitioning to lead the Digital Solutions Department. In this role, he leverages AI and advanced computing to accelerate fusion energy development.
With an MBA in technology and innovation management, Volker combines scientific expertise with strategic leadership, excelling in project and portfolio management.
At FEInn, he brings a forward-thinking approach, extensive expertise in fusion innovation, and a commitment to creating efficient, results-driven structures that drive meaningful scientific and technological advancements in fusion energy.
